Job Description
The Account Manager is responsible for actively driving client engagement with new and existing customers to initiate, align and lead the solution formulation, sign-offs and rollout for new opportunities. She/He will work with sales teams to qualify and close opportunities and lead the solution team’s effort towards meeting customer needs for the opportunities. Understanding of the customers’ business objectives and aligning a solution to meet business, technical and customer timelines is the primary responsibility of the position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all strategic customer account management matters
- Engage diverse stakeholders and align them into a unified customer account program for agreement and sign-offs in customer account
- Develop and grow business with customer accounts in line with SCA goals by leading opportunities and/or identifying areas of improvement to improve account health for growth
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities with customers
- Close agreements by addressing strategic alignment, sponsor buy-in and closing contract negotiations
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales, value generated for customers, customer’s metrics used in the program)
- Drive business reviews with client organization
- Clearly communicate about the initiative and progress in SaaS subscriptions, product roadmap engagement and project services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a program manager from a qualified opportunity to closing, implementation to subscription renewals and next phase of growth.
- Build and maintain professional practices, trust and relationships between SCA and client organization
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of project deliverables to meet customer needs and objectives
- Prepare account status reports
- Ensure compliance of client requests with PO’s, change orders or service policies or escalate as needed
- Understand the needs of the customers’ organization, and develop plans to ensure outstanding support of those needs
- Manage target accounts that may span multiple account executives
- Assist the sales team with the radiation strategy into target accounts by building customer relationships
- Plan sales campaigns in conjunction with account executives and lead efforts to ensure the delivery of all technical resources into the sales campaigns
- Collaborate with product managers, software developers, analysts, business officers, and other groups ensuring the successful execution of the sales strategy
- Work closely with the Sales Team to understand client needs in order to independently create and deliver world class technical demonstrations
- Leverage knowledge of the horizontal and industry frameworks
- Successfully transition account ownership from sales stage to account management for newly on-boarded clients.
- Own the execution of operational SLA delivery and escalations.
Experience and Skills:
- Operations or technology consulting experience in a managerial capacity – strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success at major accounts involving complex operations or technology projects
- Proven competency in communicating, presenting and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior executives
- Experience working on multiple projects / accounts at a time, while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in engaging diverse stakeholders to build agreement for project execution
- Prior experience in use of CRM (e.g. Salesforce), MS Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Proficiency in complex problem solving for organizational challenges at customers
- Ability to drive client-focused solutions in the projects
- Strong ownership, bias for action and willingness to roll-up your sleeves
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of Project Management at the enterprise level (large corporation) experience strongly preferred in food industry
Experience with supply chain management
Experience with CRM such as Sales Force, MS Office products
