OVERVIEW:

Currently seeking a Financial Analyst (Analyst, Financial) to join the Melville Headquarters. This individual researches, plans and evaluates the effectiveness of processes, systems, procedures or methodologies through review and evaluation of detailed data. A developing professional, working towards full proficiency in the job role. Receives general instruction from manager on expected work outcomes and exercises good judgment in day-to-day matters.

This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Coordinating the budget/forecast process for Canon’s Latin American business, analyzing budget/actual difference
•    Work with the F/A HQ on the monthly closing to ensure accurate and timely results
•    Prepare monthly reports with financial analysis/background, liaising  with the product group (business)
•    Manage and Prepare cash flow related reports such as Inventory, AR etc. to support the business.
•    Support various projects including BI (Business Intelligence ) projects to enhance the data base functionality

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience required
• 3+ years of related experience in forecasting of market conditions and sales growth
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, budgeting and computer systems
