Responsibilities:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications:
Seeking a MUOS IT Linux/Solaris Software Engineer in our Scottsdale, AZ location.
We seek a seasoned, experienced Senior IT Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience to perform software requirements analysis, system integration activities and design and to develop and test software and tools, including the development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems or embedded products. Your proven leadership and expertise will aid in technical planning, verifying and validating others’ work, and performing cost and risk analysis.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on IT experience with Unix/Solaris
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile development experience preferred.
Representative Duties and Tasks:
- Performs infrastructure requirements analysis, participates in research, designs develops, and tests software and tools, including the development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems, or embedded products.
- Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the development of complex architectures.
- Program/Product infrastructure upgrades, improvements, and maintenance in a process-oriented organization.
- Commercial software application upgrades, configuration, and integration into large DoD system
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Information Technology Infrastructure Development, Sustainment, and Architecture
- Development of Information Technology Services, Standards, and Operations
- Capable of working on problems of diverse scope requiring analysis of data and evaluation of a multitude of factors
Desirable Skills and Abilities:
- Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with very little direction or can provide direction and leadership to technical teams
- Exercises independent judgment and sometimes defines new procedures and practices to improve team and company performance

MUST HAVE
