Freelance Catheter Assembler/Technician

Currently seeking an experienced assembler/technician to build and test catheters for the robotic catheter system.

 

Key Responsibilities (Do):

_ Build catheters for research and development studies with instruction by the catheter engineers

_ Maintain the fixtures, tools and supplies to build catheters

_ Perform and document mechanical testing of catheters

_ Contribute to the improvement of the catheter assembly process

_ Understand and conform to the HORL Quality System

_ Interact effectively with an engineering team
Results Expected (Deliver):

_ Build and provide catheters for research and development studies

_ Generate test reports of catheters.

_ Recommend improvements to the catheter assembly process

Other Expectations:

_ 3-5 years of relevant experience in building and assembling of catheters or equivalent medical devices.

_ Experience with assembly of parts under a microscope.

_ Experience working in a fast-paced, rapid prototype design environment.

_ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to others.

_ Associates Degree in one of the following – Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering or Biomedical Engineering

Nice to Haves

_ Familiarity with reading engineering drawings, Solid Works or equivalent 3D CAD.

_ Working knowledge of catheter manufacturing process and equipment.

 

***Please note the candidate’s schedule:

The senior catheter engineer and associate catheter engineer will need to teach this person how to make the catheter. This candidate’s schedule will be 5 days a week Monday to Friday (35 hours) in office.***

 

MUST HAVE:
