Overview:

Seeking a Senior Product Marketing Specialist (Sr Specialist, Prod Marketing). This individual will be responsible for Camera and lens new product launch. Communicating with our  Japan Headquarters and setting Launch plan, strategy of marketing approach and Target user, Media event. Latin America region is the main responsibility as well as USA market. Will also be following up with Tech support from pro users and creators. Taking feedback from LAD retail and consumer markets.

This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for increasing the national sales effort by providing expertise with product technology capabilities, participating in the development of marketing programs and implementing new product launches
• Recognized as the resident expert in product technology, government marketing, contracting, sales and pricing and develops diverse strategies that increase our  presence in the government marketplace
• Provides expertise to Field Sales Groups, Contracting and Pricing that result in the implementation of coordinated strategies that increase Canon market share in the Government sales channel
• Responsible for providing direct sales support for federal, state and local customers and large specialized accounts by tailoring programs to meet these specific customer demands
• Develops marketing strategies and programs by collecting, compiling, and analyzing marketing research data and competitive information
• Analyzes data and summarizes market trends and consumer demands in order to identify specific needs to be targeted by the marketing program
• Provides direct assistance with the resolution of unique or complex issues and participates in presentations for accounts, which require special product/technological support
• Develops government specific advertising and promotional materials
• Conducts sales presentations for large government customers in order to ensure proper communication of the technical features and specifications of the products
• Possesses specialized knowledge or skills in a particular functional area
• A fully qualified, seasoned professional with a full understanding of the job role who works on more complicated issues facing the department
• Receives general instruction from manager on new assignments but little to no direction in day-to-day work
• Typically reports to a Manager or Senior Manager, and may mentor or supervise one or two less experienced professional staff

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience, with at least three years in a product marketing environment within the office solutions industry. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing
• Additional training in the technologies associated with the product lines for which he/she is responsible is beneficial
• Requires a strong understanding of network technology, connectivity and software for document solutions and a working knowledge of communication protocols
• Incumbent should possess leadership capabilities, good written and verbal communication skills, and excellent platform technique for the effective presentation of technical information
• Familiarity with personal computers and multiple software packages is a must
• Camera & Lens Technology knowledge and experience is required
• Bilingual in Spanish both oral and written is required

MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience, with at least three years in a product marketing environment within the office solutions industry. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing
