Location: This role will be working with products that are located at the FLIR facility in Billerica, MA or Wilsonville, OR. The candidate must be able to work onsite at that location most days of the week.

Job Summary: 

Seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for our Sensor Systems team at the Teledyne FLIR facility in Billerica, MA with strong backgrounds in both digital hardware (PCB) and FPGA designs. The candidate must be experienced at designing PCBs with embedded processors and high-speed interfaces as well as FPGA designs used in Gimbal and Handheld systems.

Hardware Experience Desired:

  • CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics and PADs Logic.
  • Communication protocols: USB, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN, ARINC, MIL-STD-1553.
  • High-speed interfaces: LVDS, MIPI, SERDES, PCIE Gen3/4, Aurora 8b/10b, CameraLink, Multi-gigabit transceivers
  • Video interfaces: HDMI, SMPTE, DisplayPort.
  • High speed memory interfaces DDRx and QDRx

FPGA Experience Desired:

  • Experience with Xilinx 7-series FPGAs, MicroBlaze, and Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC.
  • Proficiency in VHDL
  • Proficiency in FPGA implementation, verification, simulation, timing, power analysis
  • Use of IP cores on FPGAs

MUST HAVE: 

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

10 to 15+ years of work experience in both digital hardware and FPGA designs.

Experience with leading major projects, system architecture decisions, and presentations.

Experience in Implementation of both hardware and FPGA architectures.

Experience debugging both hardware and FPGA designs

NICE TO HAVE:
