Seeking an Executive Chef for Bethel University located in St. Paul, MNBethel University is private Christian University centrally located between Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN on the shores of Lake Valentine. Bethel University leads education by building stronger communities, equipping confident leaders and preparing passionate world-changers!

The Executive Chef is responsible for resident dining, retail support, and catering functions. Our successful candidate will have proven leadership experience, excellent customer service, promote a customer/client centered culture and improve partnerships. Ability to work with and grow a diverse staff, manage a busy catering schedule, and professionalism in client contact is important in this position.

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting.
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented.
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations.
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

MUST HAVE

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic Management Experience – 2 years
  • 2 years’ work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
