Full-Time Quality Control Group Leader
Job Description
Advanced Cleans Technologies site in Hayward, California is seeking a Quality Control Group Leader to provide leadership and support of local QC responsibilities and initiatives for the rapidly growing Electronics & Industrial business. The QC department is responsible for testing and analysis of raw materials and finished product samples, as well as samples for quality investigations and R&D and manufacturing technology initiatives. The QC Group Leader is responsible for managing the QC analyst group and will report to the Hayward Manufacturing Technologies & Quality Control Leader.
Key duties & responsibilities:
Ensure safe operation of the QC laboratories, including utilization of management of change process
Lead hiring, performance management, and development of QC analysts
Set expectations and hold people accountable for Core Values
Ensure minimum staffing levels to support production and project needs
Evaluate training and certification needs on an ongoing basis to ensure appropriate, qualified resourcing in labs
Monitor key process metrics and drive continuous quality improvements through use of SPC
Ensure compliance with QC operating procedures and implement work process improvements
Collaborate with QC Specialist and Method Development Chemists on strategic and tactical activities involving QC analysts and equipment
Develop roadmap for QC capabilities
Liaise with other ACT QC groups to harmonize and improve standard work practices. Collaborate with other shared labs and R&D labs to perform detailed troubleshooting.
Drive and contribute to projects needed to support modernization and growth of the business, including data management system and data automation projects
Lead and participate in audits and RCIs within QC and cross-functionally as needed
Represent QC in customer-facing activities and quality investigations
Implement strong 5S framework and discipline in QC labs
Minimum education and experience required:
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
3-5 years of experience in quality function or manufacturing organization

Superior written and spoken communication skills
Ability to lead effective meetings, manage actions, and drive results

Self-starter with systematic decision-making and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and set performance expectations
Candidates with analytical lab experience are preferred
MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
3-5 years of experience in quality function or manufacturing organization
