Full-Time Account Executive -Sales

Job Description


The Account Executive will be responsible for selling ChaiOne services to new clients through activities spanning the sales cycle: pipeline development, lead qualification, client meetings, proposal development, negotiations, and closing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Work with new prospects to build a sales pipeline
  • Own and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets
  • Ability to establish and manage senior client relationships (expectations, communications, escalation, etc.)
  • Manage multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously from prospecting, discovery, needs analysis, proposal development, closing and on-boarding
  • Partner with clients to understand their technology needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business
  • Leverage existing partnership programs (Apple, Microsoft, etc) to generate opportunities
  • Understand the client’s culture, capabilities, team structure and goals to ensure success for the client
  • Align the overall corporate solution to the customers’ business needs, challenges and technical requirements
  • Navigate relationships with senior business clients to gain additional work for the company
  • Develop comprehensive territory and account plans to execute on sales strategy
  • Drive strategic initiatives for clients towards specific measurable business goals with your internal and client teams
  • Work closely with the business development team to explore and drive plans to penetrate the identified opportunities
  • Manage and forecast succession planning for the key roles on the account
  • Be actively involved in company initiatives such as hiring, training and events


  • 10+ years of client facing experience working within projects for a technical consulting firm or custom software development
  • 7+ years of sales experience targeting the Director and Vice President levels
  • Passionate about custom development technology sales and delivery
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas by generating and growing new accounts
  • Successful experience growing accounts by expanding your company’s presence onsite with a client
  • Accountability for $2-4MM+ annual sales quota
  • Demonstrated technical and business aptitude that allows you to understand, translate, and guide discussions and decisions at a strategic level as well as at a detailed execution level
  • Ability to influence and work with many internal stakeholders
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies and lifecycle
  • Exposure to and interest in User Centered Design (UCD)
  • Experience working with teams with multiple discipline representations (especially technology, creative, media and strategy)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or related field
  • Must be open to travel (>25%)
